Fall Season Activities!

What’s Your Favorite Season Of The Year?

Fall is here!

The fall season is in couple more days!

The changing color of the leaves, the cool crisp air, pumpkins, and hot apple cider seem to turn the fall into the season of festivals.

The jolly season where you can enjoy outdoors and take a break from your busy schedules.

Check out the “Amazing Farm Fun at Ticonderoga”

The festival goes from September 21 – November 3, 2019.

From 10AM to 6PM on Weekends

(Keep in mind that the entrance gate close at 5PM)

Ticonderoga Farms also kicks off their Fall Festival this weekend with pick-your-own pumpkins, hayrides, slides, jumping pillow, animals and more. You can also feed the goats and chickens, take a hayride or a ride on the Cow Train, and tackle Virginia’s longest swinging bridge. The best part is when you take your pumpkin home and start carving your own pumpkin. You can do pumpkin pies, smoothies, soups, use it as a Jack-O-Lantern and etc. A wonderful outing to enjoy and take pictures with your family and friends to selfies of your pleasant experience! Have fun!

How do you know if your pumpkin is ripe?

Give the pumpkin a good thump or a slap. If the pumpkin sounds hollow, the pumpkin is ripe and ready to be picked. Color is usually the best indicator. If your pumpkin is orange all the way around, your pumpkin is ripe. But on the other hand, a pumpkin does not need to be all the way orange to be ripe. Some pumpkins are ripe when they are still completely green.

Did you know?

The largest pumpkin ever grown set record in Germany in October 11, 2013. Guess how much it weighed? It was 2,096 pounds. Woah! Unbelievable. There is no limit of how much a pumpkin can grow. Pumpkin seeds are usually in high demand and auctioned off.
