Fairfax Circle Villa Spring 2017 Update - Northern VA Apartment Life

Roofing Improvement Project at Fairfax Circle Villa

Despite all the rain we’ve had the past few days, we’ve managed to maintain our roof replacement schedule with the last of the buildings completed by the end of April.

As you can imagine, the roof is one of the most important elements of any building.  It must withstand rain, snow, sleet and anything else the seasons throw at it.  We would like to thank our tenants for their cooperation.

What’s going on in early June 2017?

Fairfax Circle Villa Apartments will be sealing and re-striping the parking lot. The weather (heavy rain, snow, and extreme temperatures), heavy loads, and harmful substances such as oil, gas and grease, all contribute to the deterioration of any asphalt surface.  If water is allowed to penetrate the asphalt surface, freezing and thawing cycles cause the biggest damage, enlarging existing cracks and creating potholes.  Sealing at regular intervals help prevent water penetration, extending the useful life of the asphalt as well as enhancing its curb appeal.  Management will soon provide a detailed schedule for this work.

Let’s make a difference!

We ask our tenants to place recyclable items within the designated enclosures near our dumpsters using the bins provided for smaller items.

If the enclosures/bins are full, please place additional items in the trash dumpsters helping ensure a well-maintained appearance.

What items can we “Recycle”?

Items that can be recycled are cans, plastic, paper, glass and cardboard.

Benefits of Recycling

  • Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and combustion facilities
  • Conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals
  • Prevents pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw materials
  • Saves energy
  • Reduces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change
  • Helps sustain the environment for future generations
  • Helps create well-paying jobs in the recycling and manufacturing industries in the United States
